MTH1: REFLECTION

This unit is about the reflection, lines that divides a figure into two equal parts and symmetry in three Dimention.

REFLECTION

  1. SYMMETRY INTOTWO DIMENTION

SYMMETRY IN THREE DIMENSIONS

If you cut an arrange in two so that the two halves are identical, the cut is a plane of symmetry. e.g.  (i)   make a list  of objects which have planes of symmetry

  • sphere –           cone
  • cuboid –           block
  • cylinder

  1. Draw and state how many planes of symmetry a block has.

18

  1. planes of symmetry.
  2. How many planes of symmetry has
  3. a) a sphere
  4. b) a circular cylinder

infinite  planes  symmetry.

Assignment

  • Draw and state how many planes of symmetry a cuboid has
